Sorsele Municipality is now seeking an IT Technician who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with others, and contributing to a stable and well-functioning IT environment. About the Workplace The IT Department is responsible for IT and broadband operations in Sorsele Municipality. With combined expertise, we support the municipality's operations with software and hardware support as well as database and system management for municipal operations. We are an independent communications operator in Sorsele city network and manage the municipality's fiber network. We have a small and pleasant workplace with short decision-making processes, and as an IT Technician with us, you will encounter varied and developmental work tasks. Your Responsibilities Operation and monitoring of business systems, database management and optimization. Development, troubleshooting and problem-solving. Management of orders as well as support and advisory services. Information and IT security. You will also handle more advanced cases. The work may involve tasks related to critical infrastructure, and you may therefore need to undergo security clearance. Your Qualities You have a good ability to prioritize and can document your work in a clear and thorough manner. A team player who takes great responsibility and enjoys providing good service to users while ensuring things get done. Since the work sometimes involves a high pace, it is important that you are stress-tolerant and flexible. As a person, you are curious, responsible and unpretentious. You like change and working in groups and see collaboration as a strength. You have analytical skills, are well-organized and thorough, and have high technical competence with a problem-solving approach. Competence and Qualifications Basic knowledge of networking. You have relevant post-secondary IT education or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed as equivalent by the employer, with knowledge of networking, IT support and/or server operations. Documented experience working as an IT Technician is a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You have knowledge of common operating systems and directory services. The position requires physical presence at the workplace as well as visits to various municipal operations; a Class B driver's license is therefore a requirement. The position also requires good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
