Main Responsibilities
As an IT Technician, you have an important role where you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for parts of the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems. Your tasks will include system operations and management, troubleshooting, various types of installations, backup management, optimization and changes in server environments, and maintaining system security. Reporting and documenting ongoing and completed work is something we consider a natural part of the job. You will also participate in planning and further development of systems.
The position involves continuous learning of new technologies, products, and services, all in the spirit of strengthening Sweden's defense. If you want to spend time on environmental monitoring and in-depth problem analysis, that is possible. Employees within the Swedish Armed Forces are given time for further development both internally and externally.

Qualifications
Upper secondary education with a focus on IT/technology and/or equivalent experience.
Multiple years of experience working as an IT Technician or in a similar role
Good knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server
Experience with virtualization
Experience with SQL databases
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Swedish citizen
Class B driver's license
Meritorious
Work experience with Linux
Work experience with monitoring systems
Knowledge of IT security, encryption, and certificates
Experience working in an equivalent role within a government agency or other public operation

Other Information
The position is a permanent civilian employment and begins with a 6-month probationary period for those not previously employed by the Swedish Armed Forces. Place of work is Örebro with start as soon as possible or by agreement. Travel is part of the position.
