In the IT department, we are responsible for supporting and operating the city's IT environment. You will be an important part of ensuring that the city's operations have a functioning and stable IT environment. Through your work, you contribute to enabling the city's employees to carry out their tasks for residents, students, and service users. The IT department is part of the Development and Business division, under the Management and Coordination sector, and works closely with colleagues and operations throughout the organization.
As a systems technician focusing on client management, you have overall responsibility for our client platforms throughout their entire lifecycle. You combine advanced technical platform work with proactively driving development, patching, and automation, so that the city's employees always have the right digital tools for their tasks.
The position requires you to be on-site at our facilities to a large extent, but some remote work can occur when the work allows. You report directly to the IT Operations Manager.
Examples of areas of responsibility:
Manage and further develop our endpoint platform with a focus on Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, and lifecycle management for mobile devices.
Streamline processes via Windows Autopilot and PowerShell, and manage application packaging and distribution.
Handle patching, compliance, GPOs, and identity and access management via Entra ID and Active Directory.
Secure the client environment through technical documentation, processes, and routines, and serve as third-line support for the service desk.
We want you to have
At least upper secondary IT education or equivalent knowledge that we consider equivalent.
At least 4–5 years of experience with client solutions and endpoint management in a larger organization.
Deep technical expertise in Windows platforms, M365, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM.
Practical experience administering and managing mobile devices (MDM/MAM).
Good experience with patching, policy management (GPO), application packaging, and identity management via Entra ID/Active Directory.
Good understanding of networking and IT security.
Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is also meritorious if you have:
Experience with scripting and automation, for example via PowerShell.
Experience with macOS.
