Job Description As an IT Support Technician at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you will work with both first-line troubleshooting and user guidance, as well as monitor and manage alarms for clients wearing electronic monitoring bracelets. In your role, you will be the first point of contact for employees who have IT-related questions or who need troubleshooting of the Prison and Probation Service's IT services. This occurs primarily via phone and our case management system, where you will deliver support in an efficient and professional manner. In the role you are also responsible for handling and monitoring alarms linked to clients with electronic monitoring bracelets, and ensuring that all technical problems that arise are quickly identified and addressed. You will be part of the first-line IT support team to ensure that our employees and clients receive the support and service they need. You will also administer access rights and manage orders for IT equipment and services. In addition to providing technical support and alarm management, you will contribute to developing and improving our work processes through collaboration with other sections within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. Through continuous contact and monitoring with both employees and clients, you will help identify improvement opportunities that strengthen both working methods and the quality of the services we offer. The work includes 24/7 scheduling, year-round. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is service-oriented with a calm and accommodating manner. We are looking for someone who has: Complete secondary school education in the form of a final grade or high school diploma, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant Experience from a service profession Experience with professional customer interaction, for example in phone support, reception, or retail in the recent past Ability to express yourself very well in speech and writing in Swedish Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in English Good computer and mobile device skills It is also meritorious to have: Experience in technical service or IT support Experience in administrative work Experience from work at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service Experience working in large organizations with complex IT environments Knowledge of hardware regarding PCs, telephony, mobile devices, thin terminals, laptops, electronic monitoring bracelets, printers, or conference equipment Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position.
