Sydnärkes IT Administration is a merger of the IT departments in Lekeberg, Askersund, Hallsberg, and Laxå municipalities. The administration is part of a joint board and 19 administrations, 8 municipal companies in 4 municipalities where IT Administration provides support, operations, and development across all operations. We are an important part of a change journey in an exciting daily work environment where digitalization of the municipalities' processes will be an important part, with IT Administration providing conditions and creating opportunities. Sydnärkes IT Administration currently consists of 21 employees.

As an IT Specialist in Networking, you will work within our unit responsible for the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure. The unit consists of 6 employees and among our services are application operations, server and network operations, and integrations. You will be part of a team of four people whose main task is to develop and manage the municipalities' networks with associated systems and monitoring functions. We also offer the opportunity to work remotely.
Examples of Work Tasks:
Troubleshooting and incident management of the municipalities' network environment
Implementing changes and improvements in network infrastructure
Implementation of network and security solutions
Working with routing, switching, and firewalls
Managing VPN solutions and wireless networks
Qualifications
In your role as an IT Specialist, it is important that you listen, communicate, and collaborate well with your colleagues. You have a technical understanding and work well with complex issues, break down and solve problems. To thrive in the role, you easily adapt to changed circumstances and see opportunities in change. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an efficient manner and have good documentation skills. The position requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a good work environment. For us, it is important to have fun at work!

To succeed in this position, you need to have the following competencies:
Academic education, preferably with an IT focus, or experience that the employer deems equivalent
Worked at least five years with Cisco, Aruba, or Fortinet in routing/switching and wireless
Good knowledge and understanding of networks, firewalls, and IT infrastructure
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Category B driver's license
Meritorious
Experience in scripting and automation
Experience in network security
Experience in building and designing network environments
Knowledge of ITIL
