We are now seeking an IT Security Specialist for Höglandets IT. Your New Role As an IT Security Specialist, you will work operationally with the organization's IT security. You will also continuously monitor developments in the IT security field to be able to recommend and implement appropriate methods and techniques in preventive security work. The work involves educating, informing, and supporting various projects and operations within the organization, as well as serving as a competence resource for IT security matters. The role also includes conducting regular security analyses to identify, prevent, and warn of vulnerabilities in IT systems and technical environments. Your responsibilities also include managing, maintaining, and implementing IT security solutions, as well as participating in processes to review and approve systems from a security perspective. You will also develop protective measures and ensure that decided action plans are implemented. The role also involves participating in Höglandsförbundet's information security work and contributing to the development of the organization's overall security level. About You We are looking for someone with relevant higher education or vocational training in IT or equivalent. You need to have experience with systematic IT security work supported by frameworks such as ISO 27002, CIS Controls v8, or NIST 2.0. You also have experience recommending various security solutions and measures from a balanced risk and security perspective. It is also important that you have strong communication skills in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken. You have personal drive and are not afraid to tackle complex tasks. It is important to us that you have good collaboration skills, as the work involves cooperation with many different parties, both internally and externally. You are technically skilled, unpretentious, and analytical. To thrive in this role, you also need good problem-solving skills. The role also requires you to be organized, driven, and goal-oriented, with a solid interest in IT security. About Us Höglandets IT is the IT service provider for the Högland municipalities. The municipalities in the highlands are embarking on a transformative and exciting journey toward the digital service society. Höglandets IT is an important player in this transition. We deliver reliable IT services daily to approximately 32,000 users across various municipal sectors such as education, health and care, culture and recreation, property, construction, and water and sewerage. Our IT environment is one of the largest and most challenging in the region, with an extensive number of units and infrastructure components. Good to Know This position is a permanent employment at Höglandets IT. The role will be based in Eksjö. Travel between Högland locations may occur. Remote work is possible by agreement. Employment with us as an IT Security Specialist involves placement in a security class. A security vetting with record check under the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted before an employment decision is made. If you are called for an interview, you must be able to prove your citizenship. You do this by showing a valid passport or a certificate of identity together with a valid ID document. A certificate of identity can, if you are a Swedish citizen, be downloaded from the Swedish Tax Agency under my pages. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA, you must also be able to present a valid residence and/or work permit to work in Sweden.
