Sydnärkes IT Administration is a merger of the IT departments in Lekeberg, Askersund, Hallsberg, and Laxå municipalities. The administration is part of a shared board and 19 administrations, 8 municipal companies in 4 municipalities where IT Administration delivers support, operations, and development across all activities. We are an important part of a change journey in an exciting everyday environment where digitalization of municipal processes will be an important part where IT Administration provides the conditions and creates opportunities. Sydnärkes IT Administration currently consists of 21 employees.

In the role of IT Security Manager, you will work at Sydnärkes IT Administration with a main focus on leading and coordinating IT security work. You will plan, prioritize, and ensure that activities and assignments are carried out in accordance with established guidelines and policies, which aim to maintain, strengthen, and further develop the IT security field. You will be an important player in building and developing working methods, routines, and processes, and will work closely with the municipalities' information security managers.
The role is strategic, operational, and advisory – with significant own mandate and requirements for independence

Main responsibilities
Lead and coordinate long-term IT security work
Identify, analyze, and follow up on IT-related risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
Lead or participate in IT security-related projects
Lead IT specialists within the IT security field
Support operations, facilities, and projects with IT security requirements and advice
Participate in incident management, conduct analyses, and propose preventive measures
Collaborate with municipalities' information security managers and external organizations on IT security matters
Promote increased security awareness within IT
Monitor the external environment and network within the IT security field
Qualifications
To succeed in the role of IT Security Manager, you need to have the following competencies
academic education, preferably with an IT focus or equivalent competence/experience that the employer deems equivalent
at least 3 years of experience with IT security work in complex organizations
good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Category B driver's license is required for the position
Meritorious
Experience of leadership and leading teams
Experience with SIEM solutions or SOC work
Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern identity solutions
Experience with Microsoft 365
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security, or equivalent
Experience with IAM, network design, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessments
Experience working with security related to AI, integrations, or data platforms
Knowledge of ITIL
