What you will work with at Södra
In this role, you lead and develop our engineering capability while creating the right conditions for teams to deliver modern digital solutions. You have overall responsibility for developing working methods, ensuring the right competencies, and driving initiatives that strengthen our technical environment.
You will, among other things:
Lead, coach, and develop employees as well as build strong and high-performing teams
Ensure the right resources and competencies for initiatives and projects within Digital & Tech
Take responsibility for the development, operation, and management of our digital solutions
Drive strategic initiatives related to modernization, automation, and cost efficiency
Drive and be a key person in major transformation journeys, for example related to modernization of system landscapes, working methods, and technical platforms
The role involves close collaboration with other parts of the organization. You work closely with other leaders within Digital & Tech – such as architects, Data & Analytics, and Governance & Transformation – where you actively contribute to and drive major change and transformation initiatives, as well as with Södra's business to understand needs and create the right digital solutions.
The assignment also includes dialogue and collaboration with external partners and suppliers.
The position is located in Växjö and is a permanent full-time position.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you as a confident leader with technical understanding who enjoys a role where you combine strategic thinking with operational implementation. You have experience leading teams and creating engagement, while also having the ability to drive development and change in a technical organization.
To succeed in this role, we would like you to:
Have academic education in computer science, systems science, or equivalent experience
Have experience in leading roles in software development, data engineering, or platform development in a modern technical environment
Be used to working closely with the business side in a product-oriented organization
Have experience leading teams, preferably in distributed or remote environments
Have experience driving or being a central part of larger transformation or change journeys within IT/digital development
We also believe that you are communicative, pedagogical, and have an easy time collaborating with different stakeholders. You have a good understanding of architecture, integrations, system development, and digital product development, as well as experience with DevOps and CI/CD.
You master Swedish and English well and can build trust with both technical specialists and business-oriented roles.
