Job Description Are you a confident and driven leader with strong expertise in IT and management? Randstad Digital is now seeking you for an important consulting assignment as interim manager of the Application Operations Section at the Swedish Transport Agency in Örebro. The interim assignment aims to cover the need during the recruitment of a permanent section manager. Responsibilities As interim section manager (first-line manager), you are responsible for the Application Operations Section within the IT department at the Swedish Transport Agency. The section's mission is to deliver application operations to the agency's product areas and to manage the tactical, strategic, and operational work related to business-critical application operations. The section consists of approximately 21 employees and, if needed, a number of consultants. The employees have expertise in systems technicians, IT architects, and IT operations delivery managers. Your responsibilities include full business, budget, and personnel management. Practical Information Location: Örebro (Swedish Transport Agency premises). Remote Work Opportunity: Yes, parts of the assignment can be performed remotely (up to 2 days/week) by agreement with the responsible manager. Scope: Full-time (100%). Office hours weekdays 08:00–16:30. Period: Assignment start is estimated for December 1, 2026 and is expected to last until November 30, 2028 at the latest. Security Clearance: The assignment is classified for security clearance. The final candidate will undergo a security vetting process with background check and will sign a security agreement before starting (the process takes approximately 8–10 weeks). Interview: Candidates who advance in the process will participate in an interview during weeks 40–41. Employment Form: The assignment is primarily sought as an employed consultant with Randstad Digital. We also welcome applications from subcontractors/self-employed individuals, provided that the company meets formal requirements for registration, creditworthiness, and approved security clearance. Qualifications To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements to be qualified for the assignment at the Swedish Transport Agency. Formal Management: At least 3 years of experience within the past 5 years (counted from the final bid date) in leading personnel in the IT field and formal management experience. Business Development: At least 2 years of experience within the past 5 years working with business development and change management. Budget Responsibility: At least 2 years of experience within the past 5 years working with budget and budget responsibility. Language: Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. Location: Based at the Swedish Transport Agency office in Örebro. Meritorious: It is highly meritorious if you also have: Application Operations: At least 1 year of experience within the past 5 years with knowledge of and work in application operations.
