You will contribute to a stable, secure, and modern network environment for Malmö University. Scope and responsibilities You will work with operations, management, and further development of Malmö University's network infrastructure. Your responsibilities include maintenance, proactive improvement work, and troubleshooting of network components and services. The position also involves contributing to projects, providing technical support to system owners and administrators, and participating in the development of the university's IT environments and system landscape. Qualifications This position requires: Relevant higher education or vocational training in IT, or equivalent experience and expertise. Broad technical understanding of modern network environments. Experience with LAN, VLAN, WLAN, switching, and routing. Experience with network services such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and IPAM. Experience with traceability, log management, and troubleshooting in complex IT environments. Experience with installation, operations, management, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure. Good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English. Ability to work systematically, independently, and with a service-oriented mindset, as well as to collaborate and take initiative. Particularly meriting for this position: Experience with Fortinet. Experience working in larger enterprise environments. Experience working in the university sector. Workplace The position is located at the IT Infrastructure unit within the IT Department, in central Malmö. Our goal is to deliver a modern and functional IT environment. IT operations are an integrated and developing part of the university's learning environment. We work on development and change initiatives as well as operations and support of the university's shared IT environment.
