We are now seeking an IT Governance Manager to strengthen the governance and management of the agency's IT operations. The organization is in a development phase where IT operations need to be strengthened through systematic and operationally focused change work. The assignment is full-time for the period 2026-09-21 to 2028-09-20, with the possibility of extension. Work takes place primarily at the office in Örebro, but remote work is possible one day per week. Your responsibilities The organization is in a development phase and has a need to strengthen governance and management of IT operations. The agency works according to established governance principles and manages an overarching governance object encompassing the entire IT department. As IT Governance Manager, you have clear responsibility for driving change and improvement initiatives within IT governance. This includes: • Ensuring that the IT department supports the agency's business objectives • Contributing to the development of governance structures and working methods • Developing and managing governance and development plans • Driving continuous improvement of processes, working methods, and governance • Ensuring that changes are anchored in operations and with relevant stakeholders • Identifying improvement areas based on monitoring, analysis, and operational needs • Establishing and further developing change management approaches • Leading change initiatives related to implementing new systems and processes • Supporting managers and teams in transformation journeys and contributing to increased change maturity • Ensuring that changes are implemented with proper quality, risk management, and communication Your qualifications • At least four years of experience as an IT Governance Manager or in an equivalent role • Experience working according to ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) • Experience with agile working methods and transformation journeys • Experience leading change initiatives within complex IT operations and/or IT governance in organizations with more than 200 employees • Experience with vendor management, ensuring that external and internal vendors deliver according to requirements and contribute to business objectives Meritorious qualifications • ITIL certification • Certification in change management • Experience from the public sector or agencies with more than 500 employees • Experience establishing or further developing governance models Experience is defined as documented practical work in the field with a scope of over two years within the past five-year period.
