About the role As IT Director with us, you are responsible for the entire IT area and ensure that IT contributes to the organization's goals, both today and in the future. You lead the day-to-day operations, are responsible for a stable and secure IT environment, and simultaneously drive improvements that strengthen the organization's capability and efficiency. The role is both operational and tactical. You are responsible for ensuring that IT deliverables meet the organization's needs, drive technical upgrades and change initiatives, and ensure that working methods and priorities support the organization's long-term development. You have personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for the IT department, which consists of three employees. You report to the CEO and are part of the management group, where you contribute both operational and IT perspectives on strategic issues. The role is new, which means you have a unique opportunity to set the direction for Länstrafiken's future IT work. An important part of the assignment will be to map the current state, identify improvement areas, and establish structure around roles, working methods, priorities, and follow-up. The expectation is that you will build up, prioritize, and create structure for the future. The IT department is located at the head office in Överkalix. To best lead the team, the role requires presence in Överkalix approximately 2–3 days per week. About you We are looking for you who combine technical understanding with confident and experienced leadership. You are used to taking responsibility for the whole picture and feel comfortable making decisions, prioritizing between different needs, and creating direction for both operations and employees. You enjoy working close to the organization and are motivated by translating technology into results. You are curious about new technology and keep yourself updated on changes in the world around you. At the same time, you have the courage to challenge established practices, drive change, and handle situations that require clarity, prioritization ability, and decisiveness. You communicate in a way that creates trust and engagement, and find it easy to build good relationships with both employees and colleagues, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Requirements for the role: - Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience - At least five years of experience in a management or leadership role in IT - Experience with personnel, budget, and operational responsibility - Good technical understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, and IT security - Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks - Swedish and English in speech and writing Meritorious: - Experience in change management or project management - Experience with hybrid environments, both local and cloud-based solutions Why choose Länstrafiken in Norrbotten?
