As IT Manager, you will have an important role in our continued journey and the opportunity to shape how IT work is conducted going forward. About the role As IT Manager with us, you are responsible for the entire IT area and ensure that IT contributes to the organization's goals, both today and in the future. You lead the daily operations, ensure a stable and secure IT environment and simultaneously drive improvements that strengthen the organization's capabilities and efficiency. The role is both operational and tactical. You are responsible for ensuring that IT deliveries meet the organization's needs, drive technical upgrades and change initiatives, and ensure that working methods and priorities support the organization's long-term development. You have personnel, budget and work environment responsibility for the IT department, which consists of three employees. You report to the CEO and are part of the management group, where you contribute with both operational and IT perspectives on strategic matters. The role is new, which means you have a unique opportunity to set the direction for Länstrafiken's future IT work. An important part of the assignment will be to map the current situation, identify areas for improvement and establish structure around roles, working methods, priorities and follow-up. The expectation is that you will build up, prioritize and create structure for the future. The IT department is located at the head office in Överkalix. In order to lead the team in the best way, the role involves presence in Överkalix approximately 2–3 days per week. About you We are looking for someone who combines technical understanding with confident and experienced leadership. You are used to taking responsibility for the whole and feel comfortable making decisions, prioritizing between different needs and creating direction for both the organization and employees. You enjoy being close to the operations and are motivated by converting technology into results. You are curious about new technology and keep yourself updated on changes in the world around you. At the same time, you have the courage to challenge established working methods, drive change and handle situations that require clarity, prioritization skills and decisiveness. You communicate in a way that builds trust and engagement, and have an easy time building good relationships with both employees and colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders. Requirements for the role: - Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience - At least five years of experience in a management or leadership role in IT - Experience of personnel, budget and operational responsibility - Good technical understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, cloud services and IT security - Experience of ITIL or similar framework - Swedish and English in speech and writing Meritorious: - Experience of change management or project management - Experience of hybrid environments, both local and cloud-based solutions Why choose Länstrafiken in Norrbotten?
