At Gagnefs kommun's IT department, we are six employees with varied areas of expertise and extensive experience who, together with our IT partner, work with a strong focus on our customers and users. Responsibilities As IT Manager at Gagnefs kommun, you have the opportunity to lead a well-functioning IT operation and at the same time contribute to the municipality's continued development. Together with engaged employees, you create the conditions for a secure, stable, and modern digital work environment that supports the municipality's operations and residents. You lead, develop, and coordinate the municipality's IT operations and are responsible for ensuring that the IT department delivers appropriate and future-proof IT services. You have personnel, operations, and budget responsibility for the IT department and lead an experienced team with broad expertise in the IT field. Together with the municipality's external IT partner, you are responsible for the operation, development, and management of the municipality's IT environment. In the role, you work closely with the municipality's operations to understand their needs and translate them into sustainable and cost-effective IT solutions. You collaborate with external suppliers, other municipalities, and regional networks to develop the municipality's IT support. You are responsible for developing and managing the municipality's IT infrastructure, strengthening information and IT security, and driving systematic improvement work within the IT field. The role also includes responsibility for the development and quality of IT support as well as for managing IT-related risks and incidents. You actively contribute to the municipality's digital development by ensuring that IT creates the right technical conditions for the operations' digitalization. The work takes place in close collaboration with the municipality's digitalization function. You follow developments within IT, AI, and digital technology and help ensure that the municipality, in a secure, appropriate, and operationally-relevant way, takes advantage of the opportunities that new technology offers. The IT Manager reports to the Head of Administration and is part of the Municipal Executive Board Administration's management group. The position also includes duties as a duty officer (TiB) according to the applicable schedule. As a manager at Gagnefs kommun, you receive support through close collaboration with the Municipal Executive Board Administration's management functions, HR, and other managers. Qualifications We are looking for someone with higher education in IT, computer science, or another field that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience in qualified IT work and documented experience in managing operations and employees. We would like you to have at least a few years of experience as a manager with personnel responsibility. We also wish that you have a strong understanding of Microsoft's cloud platform and how its various services work together in a modern IT environment. To succeed in the role, we see that you have several years of experience in qualified IT work.
