The IT and Development Department within Management and Support has a group-wide responsibility for the municipality's IT and digital development. You will become part of a team of architects and strategists working to develop and coordinate the municipality's IT and drive initiatives that are common to the entire municipal group. We are now looking for an IT architect to help develop Gävle Municipality's IT environment and create conditions for future digital development. You will have the opportunity to influence and develop a secure, stable, and modern IT environment that meets operational needs—both today and in the long term. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As an IT architect, you will have a central role in developing the municipality's technical architecture and long-term IT capabilities. You will, among other things: • develop and further develop the municipality's IT architecture, infrastructure, and platforms • create target architectures, technical choices, roadmaps, and decision-making materials • set requirements for technical investments and procurements • coordinate and lead architecture and development work together with internal and external parties • contribute to a secure, cohesive, and future-proof IT environment • plan and monitor finances within your areas of responsibility. The work is both strategic and operational, with emphasis on the strategic. You need to be able to see the big picture while understanding technical details and translating complex technical issues into clear decision-making materials and solutions that create value for operations. Gävle Municipality has a Microsoft-based IT environment, so you are expected to have good knowledge of Microsoft platforms and technologies. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • academic education in IT, systems science, computer science, or equivalent • several years of experience working as an IT architect or in an equivalent role • experience with larger and complex IT environments within infrastructure, networks, and cloud services • experience in developing target architectures, technical choices, roadmaps, and decision-making materials • strong ability to communicate and document technical solutions in Swedish It is a merit if you have: • experience with IT and information security related to architecture work • experience leading or coordinating development and architecture work • experience working with information flows within an organization • experience from public sector operations Personal Competencies To succeed in this role, we see that you: • Lead and follow up – you take responsibility for driving the work forward, create clear direction, and get others to contribute toward common goals. • Deliver results – you work in a structured and methodical manner, maintain high quality, and focus on creating value for operations. • Are collaborative – you have an unpretentious approach and collaborate with different competencies to find solutions that benefit the whole. • Are analytical – you see logic and connections in complex information and have the ability to weigh different perspectives against each other to find long-term sustainable solutions.
