Welcome to apply for a job with us! The Center for Information-Driven Precision Health (CIP) is a newly established collaboration between Linköping University and Region Östergötland. CIP's aim is to become nationally and internationally leading in broadly utilizing healthcare data for research and innovation, including realizing benefits in clinical practice. CIP is a central driver of this development, where technical platforms and expertise will be established. We are now seeking an IT Architect and Systems Developer for the Center for Information-Driven Precision Health (CIP), positioned at University Hospital Linköping. About the Job In the role of IT Architect and Systems Developer, you will have a central function in building and developing the technical platform within the Center for Information-Driven Precision Health (CIP). The work encompasses both strategic IT issues and practical systems development, where you contribute to creating long-term sustainable, secure, and efficient solutions for collection, management, curation, and analysis of health data. You will work on designing and further developing IT architecture, developing and implementing systems, and leading work on operations, maintenance, and technical development. An important part of the assignment is ensuring that data can be organized and made accessible in a way that enables research, innovation, and future clinical benefit. The role also involves being the technical leader for the technology platform within CIP and participating in the center's management. Development work will partly take place within the framework of larger collaborative projects, such as EU-funded consortia. This means close collaboration with researchers, technical experts, healthcare providers, companies, and other organizations, both nationally and internationally. Travel may therefore occur as a natural part of the work. About You To succeed in this role, you need to be proactive and have the ability to take initiative in complex assignments where issues often need to be developed step by step and in close collaboration with others. You have a clear solution focus and creative ability to find ways forward in technically challenging matters. The role also places high demands on collaboration skills, as the work involves contact with several different actors within academia, healthcare, and external collaborations. You therefore need to communicate clearly, build trust, and contribute constructively in cross-functional teams and contexts. We want you to have: a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field professional experience from the IT field experience in technical leadership experience with data security issues ability to handle complex assignments and simultaneous contact with multiple stakeholders good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English It is a merit if you have: a master's degree in computer science or a related technical field experience from IT work within research activities, healthcare operations, or companies serving these sectors previous leadership within relevant technical areas experience with data security issues related to biomedical data knowledge of systems administration and systems development experience with health data standards, such as OpenEHR, DICOM, OMOP, or FHIR experience with AI development Your Workplace The Center for Information-Driven Precision Health, CIP, is a new initiative at Linköping University and Region Östergötland. The center aims to contribute to developing future precision health by creating conditions for research and innovation based on large amounts of well-organized clinical data. For advanced precision health methods, especially AI-based solutions, to be developed and implemented, strong environments are required where healthcare, academia, and industry can collaborate. CIP therefore has an important role in supporting the collection, structuring, and use of clinically relevant data as well as providing technical platforms that enable large-scale analysis. A particular focus for CIP is multimodal data—that is, bringing together and using data from multiple sources, such as radiology, pathology, genomics, and medical records. This creates new opportunities for research, innovation, and future clinical benefit. CIP supports researchers and innovators at Linköping University and Region Östergötland while also having connections to national and international initiatives, such as AIDA Data Hub and the EU project Bigpicture. The center also works closely with the Center for Medical Image Science and Visualization, CMIV. As the need for responsible use of health data increases, CIP is expected to grow and take on increasingly greater responsibility in the future. About the Employment Indefinite. Full-time.
