Sometimes life can involve periods with fewer social contacts, for example during mental health challenges, substance abuse, or other difficult life situations. This can result in being excluded from social settings and forced into involuntary isolation. We want to prevent that. As a contact person under the Social Services Act, you can become a support in taking small steps back to social community or in maintaining your social life. This is not a therapeutic assignment but simply being a fellow human who makes a difference through time and participation. This is an expression of interest. Your application will be saved and reviewed when we are looking for a contact person for a specific person. Since personal chemistry is a winning factor in contact person assignments, we make an effort to match people with similar interests. Not everyone who applies to become a contact person will be suitable this time, but that doesn't mean you are not suitable. We hope you will continue to apply the next time the position is announced. Sooner or later, you may be matched with the right person. Your contributions could include: Walks, coffee breaks, activities Support in reaching out and making new connections A listening ear and positive support in daily life The assignment is structured based on the individual's needs, wishes, and decision. For most, this means meeting approximately 2-4 times per month for about 3 hours per occasion. We are looking for someone who: Is confident and clear in relationships Has a stable daily life and time to dedicate Understands the value of being present and reliable Experience in social work is a merit, but commitment carries significant weight. Right now we have several individuals waiting for a contact person, so do not hesitate to submit your application Terms and Conditions This is not a traditional employment. It is an assignment where your commitment is compensated with compensation and expenses according to SKR's guidelines. Valid ID document and right to work in Sweden To work at Älvkarleby Municipality, you must be able to present a valid ID document showing your citizenship. In some cases, you also need to show a document proving you have the right to work in Sweden. If you are offered the position, you must be able to show one of the following: - Passport - Driver's license - SIS-marked ID card together with a personal certificate showing citizenship - Other valid ID document where citizenship is clearly stated If you are a citizen of a country outside Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also show that you have the right to work in Sweden (e.g., a residence or work permit).
