As a student ambassador, you will share your experiences of life as an international student in Sweden, and provide information about our programs to prospective students at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The candidates we are seeking are international students enrolled in a Master's program at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. You will join our group of Swedish and international student ambassadors and have the opportunity to add relevant work experience to your CV. Responsibilities As a student ambassador, you are the faculty's representative to the outside and have an important role in recruiting prospective international students and introducing them to the Faculty of Science and Engineering at University of Gothenburg. Some of the most common tasks include: Recruiting Activities Most of the information and recruiting activities will take place online through, for example, digital fairs, webinars, and Zoom calls. Your work will mainly involve sharing your own experience as an international student in Sweden and providing information about our courses and programs in science and IT. Social Media As a student ambassador, it may also be relevant to help create content for the faculty's various digital channels. This could involve sharing your experiences and perspective as a student or helping us create content for social media and other digital platforms. You will work together with our communicators, who plan and coordinate the activities. Previous experience in content creation is not required – the most important thing is that you are comfortable sharing your student perspective and are interested in contributing ideas. Qualifications You must be an enrolled program student and have completed at least one semester at the Faculty of Science and Engineering. Furthermore, it is important that you are outgoing and comfortable speaking in front of people and appearing online, in videos, and on social media. You are an organized person and can convey information clearly. You enjoy sharing your experiences as an international student living in Sweden. You do not need to speak Swedish for the position; you are expected to speak English. Employment The position is a temporary employment until 2027-05-31. The number of hours varies depending on need. We mainly need help during the major recruiting periods in October-December and March-April. Position at the Faculty Office for Science and Engineering. Start date to be agreed individually. You will receive an introduction before you begin your first tasks. Compensation The compensation is 160 kr per hour plus vacation pay. In addition to the compensation, you will also gain work experience which is an advantage for future employment. You will also receive a certificate from us for the work you have performed.
