Do you want to be part of an exciting assignment and contribute to Jönköping University's (JU) important work with internationalization and global engagement? We are now seeking a driven and communicative international coordinator.
The International Office is part of University Services and provides close operational support to the institution's internationalization efforts, adapted to the different opportunities and conditions of our schools. Our vision People First permeates everything we do. In close collaboration with management and the schools, the department contributes to an ambitious, inclusive, and responsible internationalization. The office is responsible for, among other things, the institution's student exchange agreements, relations with partner universities, management of the Erasmus program, incoming and outgoing exchange students, international student recruitment, Grants Office, and local coordination of strategic international alliances and collaborations.
Are you the person we are looking for?
Your main responsibility as an international coordinator will be working with incoming exchange students for two of our schools. You will therefore be part of the unit working with incoming students where you together work with the entire process and support for students. You will be responsible for the schools' students before, during, and after their exchange studies. The unit also works with various projects and activities for students at JU. Information initiatives for students and staff at JU as well as our partner universities, as well as welcoming international visits are part of the work. Further responsibilities include:
serving as coordinator for incoming exchange students
building relationships with our existing and new partner universities
compiling statistics and documentation
continuously working on marketing toward our partner universities
collaborating with the management support teams at each school.
Information and communication are two important components of daily work, and you will also work with information on our website. The department has an international work environment with English as the working language. We have close collaboration within the department, and therefore some tasks may also occur in other units. Travel may be part of the work, both nationally and internationally.
We are seeking someone with an academic degree at least at the bachelor's level in a relevant field and several years of experience working in an international environment with qualified administrative work. We have a clear international character, which requires very good written and verbal skills in both Swedish and English. We are further seeking someone who:

is flexible and has good collaboration skills
has experience working in intercultural contexts
has good ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
In addition to the above-mentioned qualifications, we consider it meritorious if you as a candidate have experience working as an international coordinator within higher education and are experienced in managing projects.
