About the Role As an Interim Chief Executive, you will support an operational organization in the Stockholm area during a period when multiple change initiatives are underway in parallel, while operational and organizational challenges need to be addressed in the short term. Your assignment will be to relieve and support the organization's managers in both strategic and operational leadership. The focus is on creating structure, momentum, and coordination, as well as contributing to stability in daily operations. You will work with analyzing the current state, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating change work. An important part of the role will also be to strengthen managers' capacity to lead the organization through change and ensure that decisions and initiatives are implemented in practice. In summary, the assignment includes: Support and relieve managers in strategic and operational leadership. Analyze the current state and identify and prioritize relevant initiatives. Create structure, momentum, and coordination in the organization. Coordinate and drive change and improvement work. Support management and follow-up of operations. Develop analyses, decision-making materials, and recommendations for management. Contribute to strengthening managers' capacity to lead the organization through change. Ensure implementation power in ongoing initiatives. Contribute to stability in ongoing operational activities. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for you—an experienced Interim Chief Executive who is accustomed to quickly getting up to speed in new and complex organizations. You have the ability to shift between a strategic perspective and operational execution and are confident in creating structure and momentum even when multiple initiatives and challenges need to be handled in parallel. To be eligible for this assignment, you must meet all of the following requirements: Academic education in leadership, management, logistics, maritime, or equivalent experience deemed equivalent. Documented ability to combine strategic analysis with operational execution. At least two years of experience as an Interim Chief Executive. Documented strong results from operational activities. Experience developing analyses, decision-making materials, and recommendations for management. Ability to drive and follow up on improvement initiatives in complex operating environments. Experience in change management and business development. Meritorious: Experience managing managers. Experience leading operations that run 24/7 (for example, in maritime, transport, healthcare, emergency services, industry, or other organizations with continuous operations). Other Requirements: You must be able to provide a reference assignment of similar character that has been completed within the last five years. About Your New Workplace You will work for an established organization with operations across Sweden and an important public service mission. The organization has approximately 1,700 employees and operations at multiple locations around Sweden. In this assignment, you will be part of the organization in the Stockholm area with placement at the office in central Stockholm. About the Employment This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed as a consultant by OIO. Working Conditions & Benefits: Start: October 20, 2026. Scope: Full-time, 100%. Placement: Central Stockholm. Assignment length: Initially 4 months, with the possibility of extension 4 + 4 months. Maximum 12 months. Work model: Possibility of remote work up to two days per week may be available.
