Interim Manager in Construction and Environment

On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a consultant interim manager for a consulting assignment in Stockholm. About the assignment We are looking for an experienced interim manager in construction and environment for a full-time position with a municipality in the Stockholm area. This assignment is ideal for someone who can quickly step into full management responsibility and create stability, structure, and momentum in an organization with regulatory authority. You will lead a team of approximately 20 employees and be responsible for personnel, operations, finances, and work environment. As interim manager, you will be responsible for: leading and allocating work within construction and environmental operations ensuring efficient and legally compliant processing of building permits and environmental matters ensuring quality, prioritization, and good service responsibility for supervision planning within relevant environmental and oversight areas preparing and presenting matters to the political board driving operational development and improved work methods collaborating with internal and external stakeholders fostering strengthened collaboration between operational areas Other details: Start: by September 15, 2026 End: initially until December 31, 2026 with possibility of extension Scope: full-time Placement: Northern Stockholm with possibility of hybrid work by agreement. We are looking for someone with relevant university education documented management experience in the public sector with responsibility for personnel, operations, finances, and work environment experience working in a politically governed organization experience with regulatory authority strong knowledge of PBL (Planning and Building Act) and the Environmental Code understanding of relevant food, alcohol, and tobacco legislation experience in change and development work excellent Swedish language skills, both written and spoken Class B driver's license Application Does this assignment sound interesting?
