SJR is now seeking an experienced interim section manager on behalf of our client in central Stockholm for a business area responsible for relationships with external stakeholders, educational activities, and strategic development within the pension and insurance sector. This is a consulting assignment starting 17/8 and initially running until 31/1 2027 with the possibility of extension. For this assignment, we are looking for you who want to take employment as a consultant or you who want to work as a sub-consultant with us.
About the Position
The assignment involves overall responsibility for the department's delivery, development, and quality, as well as close collaboration with management, HR, and external partners. The role combines operational leadership with strategic work and suits you if you thrive in an environment where relationships, business acumen, and development are in focus. You will lead an established operation with approximately ten employees and contribute to ensuring continued high quality, stability, and progress in prioritized initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the section's operations and ensure delivery according to set objectives
- Have personnel responsibility for approximately ten employees
- Set direction, prioritize, and follow up on the department's work and results
- Participate in management work and contribute to the overall governance and development of the operations
- Maintain and further develop relationships with external parties and partners
- Support work around procurements, onboarding processes, and network collaborations
- Ensure implementation of training and information initiatives for various target groups
- Drive development of offerings, methods, and pedagogical approaches
- Collaborate with HR on strategic development and operational matters
- Serve as a link between HR and company management on selected issues
- Lead and conduct investigations and development initiatives within the business area
- Drive and promote cross-functional collaboration between different parts of the organization
Relevant Background
We are looking for someone with documented experience in leadership with personnel responsibility and who is accustomed to leading operations where both operational and strategic matters are on the agenda. You have experience from the pension, insurance, or related industry and feel confident handling complex stakeholder environments with many contact points.
You have worked closely with external parties, customers, member organizations, or other key stakeholders and have a strong ability to build long-term relationships. Experience with training and information activities, business development, strategic investigations, or work in close connection with the management team is meriting. You express yourself fluently in Swedish in both speech and writing.
