We are currently seeking an experienced and confident HR leader at Jurek for an interim HR Director position at a major public organization south of Stockholm. This is a six-month temporary assignment that suits you if you thrive in a strategic role with great opportunity to make an impact and contribute to public benefit. We welcome your application! About the Role and Responsibilities As HR Director, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the organization's HR work and ensuring that the HR function continues to deliver professional and operationally-focused support. You will have a central role in management work and contribute to driving ongoing initiatives and development efforts forward during this period. The role includes being a strategic partner to the Regional Director and providing support to both management and political decision-makers on overarching HR matters. You will work in a complex organization with an important public mission where healthcare, regional development, and services to residents are core operational areas. Your responsibilities will include: Lead and develop the HR function and ensure smooth daily delivery Maintain and further develop the region's HR strategy and prioritized initiatives Ensure sustainable skills supply across the region's operations Support political leadership, managers, and management in organizational and change work Contribute to stability, clarity, and direction during a transition period Your Background, Experience, and Competencies We are seeking someone with solid experience in strategic HR work and experience leading in large and complex organizations. Academic degree in HR, law, economics, or other relevant education Multiple years of experience in qualified and strategic HR work at management level Documented experience leading and developing an HR function in a larger organization Strong knowledge of Swedish labor law, collective agreements, and the Co-Determination Act (MBL) Experience from public sector operations, such as a region or municipality B-category driver's license As a person, you are a confident and stable leader with high integrity. You easily understand complex contexts and quickly build trust in dialogue with managers, employees, political representatives, and union representatives. Furthermore, you are structured, solution-oriented, and have the ability to make well-founded decisions even in changing situations. What We Offer You will be employed as a consultant at Jurek and work on assignment for our client. The assignment is full-time and runs from November 1, 2026, or earlier by agreement, through April 2027. The role offers the possibility of remote work up to 50%.
