Work Location: Stockholm
Work Format: Approximately 4 days/week on-site at the office. Travel may occur as part of the assignment.
About the Assignment
As an Interim HR Director, you will lead the HR function and be responsible for ensuring stable, professional, and business-aligned HR delivery during a transition period. You will provide strategic and operational support to the CEO, management, and team leaders, as well as lead and prioritize the work of an HR team of five employees.
The role encompasses broad HR responsibilities with a focus on areas such as talent acquisition and retention, leadership development, organizational development, workplace environment, employment law, and labor relations. You will drive prioritized change initiatives and organizational matters while ensuring continuity, clarity, and progress in HR operations.
A particular focus for this assignment is the procurement of a new HR system, where you will hold HR ownership and lead the work from needs assessment and requirement specification through evaluation, recommendation, and implementation preparation. You will coordinate across HR, IT, operations, and Procurement, and lead dialogues, workshops, and decision-making sessions with relevant stakeholders and vendors.
You will report to the COO/Department Head and participate in both the management team and the department's leadership group. The role requires a senior, confident, and action-oriented HR leader who can quickly immerse themselves in the organization, build trust, and combine strategic perspective with operational capability.
Required Competencies
Must-Have Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience leading and developing an HR team
Minimum 3 years of experience as Head of HR, HR Director, HR Manager, or equivalent role at a company with over 100 employees
Experience working with both strategic and operational HR matters
Multiple leadership-level assignments from different workplaces
Strong knowledge of Swedish employment law and labor relations
