Do you have extensive leadership experience and want to make a difference in a socially impactful sector? We are now seeking an Interim Unit Manager for a Swedish public authority. About the Assignment The client works to improve and facilitate healthcare in Sweden by creating opportunities for digital services and solutions within healthcare, pharmacies, and social services. This is a full-time assignment starting 2026-10-01 and running until 2027-03-31, with good opportunities for extension. The assignment is based in Kalmar or Stockholm. Travel to the authority's other offices occurs as part of the assignment. The authority currently offers the possibility of remote work up to three days per week in consultation with the client. Your Responsibilities To succeed in this role, you are a confident, communicative, and inclusive leader who can quickly immerse yourself in a complex, changing operation and deliver results from day one. Main responsibilities: Lead the unit's staff and support their self-leadership in various operational assignments Actively participate in the department's management team work to shape the department's future development and direction Collaborate closely with other managers internally and engage with external stakeholders in the healthcare sector Report to the Department Manager for Pharmaceuticals Your Qualifications As an Interim Unit Manager, you need to be experienced and knowledgeable in leading employees and developing an operation that is growing and changing. You should have strong experience handling typical management tasks, be a good leader and coach of employees who can strengthen employee self-leadership. Academic degree in a relevant field At least 10 years of documented and current experience as a manager, plus several years of experience leading complex organizations in digital service development Very high independence, high generalist competence, and experience leading large teams Documented experience in business development and ability to translate strategic goals into concrete tactical and operational activities Several years of experience in qualified internal and external collaboration Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious At least two years of professional experience with SAFe (Agile Framework) At least one year of experience working in a public authority At least one year of experience in the healthcare sector Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is organized, goal- and results-oriented with a strong drive to take initiative.
