About the assignment Adecco is now seeking an Interim Cost Accountant at Thermo Fisher Proteomics Sciences (Olink) in Uppsala. Olink is a leading player in proteomics and develops innovative solutions that contribute to research and the future of precision medicine. In this role, you will support the business during a business-critical period with focus on the annual standard cost update and inventory counts at two production facilities. You will work closely with Operations Finance, Supply Chain, Controllership, and Production to ensure accurate costs, inventory valuations, and financial reporting. Your main responsibilities include: Drive and support the annual standard cost update process Validate cost data and implement updated standard costs in the ERP system Coordinate and support physical inventory counts Analyze and investigate inventory variances and ensure correct inventory valuation Participate in monthly closings, account reconciliations, and inventory-related analyses Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit processes Contribute to improvements in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial processes You will be employed as a consultant at Adecco with an assignment start date of September 7, 2026, and the assignment initially runs until year-end. For the right person, there may be an opportunity for employment with the client. About you We are looking for someone with several years of experience in cost accounting, controlling, or accounting from the manufacturing industry. You are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with both financial analysis and operations-related issues. We would like you to have: Academic education in economics or equivalent Experience with standard costing, inventory valuation, and inventory accounting Experience with month-end closing and account reconciliations Good understanding of SOX and internal control processes Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Very good knowledge of Swedish and English Advanced Excel skills As a person, you are structured, self-driven, and communicative with a strong ability to collaborate across different functions.
