Do you want to contribute to a school with well-functioning facilities and a top-class learning environment? Then you could be our new Facilities Manager! Who are we? Bråvallagymnasiet opened on the former F13 site in Norrköping in 2019. We are a campus that provides vocational education for upper secondary school and adult education. The school currently has approximately 900 students and 140 employees. The teaching area spans 28,000 square meters and includes workshops for education in electrical work and automation, construction and infrastructure, industry and manufacturing, plumbing and ventilation, and automotive and transportation. The school has an extensive vehicle fleet connected to transportation and infrastructure education. All workshops are equipped to provide education in the same environment that students will later encounter in working life. Your responsibilities As Facilities Manager, you have overall operational responsibility for the school's facilities, workshops, procurement, and service functions. You serve as close support to the upper secondary school principal and headmasters and play an important role in ensuring that the school's environments are safe, secure, fit for purpose, and compliant with applicable regulations. You collaborate with program coordinators, teachers, and other internal and external partners. The role includes responsibility for systematic occupational health and safety management (SAM), systematic fire protection management (SBA), and ensuring that legally mandated inspections and controls are carried out. You are also responsible for maintaining and managing facilities, workshops, and outdoor environments with high quality. You maintain ongoing contact with the property owner and participate in inspections related to environmental and health matters, as well as managing fault reports and follow-up on corrective actions. You are also responsible for procurement, purchasing, and contracts related to the school's vocational programs. This may include heavy machinery, tools, personal protective equipment, consumables, and service and waste management contracts. As Facilities Manager, you also have a supervisory role for the school's custodians/facility caretakers, IT technicians, and other service functions. You coordinate matters related to facilities, properties, and services, and serve as a central point of contact for these issues. Who are you? We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in economics, public administration, property management, or another relevant field. We value several years of experience in administrative leadership, economics, and property management. To succeed in this role, you need good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations for workshop environments, as well as experience with budget work and financial follow-up. You have technical knowledge and are practically minded, with the ability to identify problems, suggest solutions, and guide others in addressing minor issues and deficiencies. It is advantageous if you have experience working in upper secondary schools or other educational activities, as well as experience handling hazardous waste and chemical inventories, such as KLARA. It is also a plus if you have experience with public procurement under Swedish procurement law (LOU). As a person, you are strategic, solution-oriented, and flexible. You have the ability to see the bigger picture and translate organizational goals into concrete methods and solutions. When conditions change, you are confident in adapting and moving work forward. You approach problems in a structured manner, analyze the situation, and find practical and feasible solutions. You are also comfortable implementing changes, explaining why they are needed, and building understanding among others. Through your attentive and positive approach, you find it easy to build good relationships and collaborate with different people. You express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. We look forward to receiving your application!
