About the role
We are now looking for an experienced engineer in instrument maintenance - with a focus on backup power diesel generators.
The position
We are looking for you as an experienced professional with solid expertise in instrumentation, control and monitoring systems connected to our backup power diesel generators and their auxiliary systems. You are offered a developmental and responsible role in a technically advanced environment where safety, availability and collaboration are in focus.
As an engineer in the instrument maintenance unit, you work long-term and strategically with instrument and control equipment in our diesel facilities. The focus is on the systems that monitor, control and protect the diesel facilities and their auxiliary systems, and how these interact with other systems in the facility.
Your work tasks include troubleshooting, testing, analysis and optimization of instrumentation, sensors, measurement chains, logic functions, control systems and interfaces with other technical areas. You actively participate in investigations and improvement work to ensure high reliability and availability in the facility.
Your role also includes being the unit's technical contact person for both large and small projects in the field. You contribute with high expertise and experience in instrumentation and control systems and ensure that maintenance and operational experience is utilized in changes and modernizations of the facility.
You will also have an important role in the group's skills development by serving as a mentor for new and junior employees. Through guidance and knowledge transfer, you contribute to building and ensuring long-term expertise within the business.

Requirements
We are looking for you who have upper secondary or post-secondary education in instrument technology, automation, electrical power or equivalent technical direction.
You have several years of experience in instrument maintenance in process industry, energy sector or other mission-critical operations. We particularly appreciate experience with control and monitoring systems, process instrumentation, safety functions and troubleshooting in complex facilities.
It is a merit if you have experience with:
Instrumentation and control systems for backup power facilities or larger diesel facilities.
PLC, DCS or other control systems.
Testing and verification of safety and protection functions.
Interfaces between different technical areas such as instrumentation, electrical, control equipment and mechanical systems.
Project work and technical investigations.
Nuclear power or other safety-critical operations.
As a person, you are analytical, structured and have a strong interest in technical systems and their interaction. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, building networks and being a technical support for both colleagues and project organizations.
