Description
Yrgo is now seeking an instructor in professional diving for our Commercial Diver/facility diver training program.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of a work team where together with education leaders and other teachers you plan and conduct instruction in both theoretical and practical components of diving training, with guidance in both Swedish and English. You will also develop educational materials and it is important that you maintain good knowledge of the job market, work methods, and development trends in the field.
As an instructor, you will conduct course evaluations, grading, and examinations in the vocational college education Facility Diver – Commercial Diver. You will also participate in LIA work: procurement, preparations, mentorship, visits, and follow-up according to guidelines from the education leader and regulatory requirements.
The position also includes maintenance and daily care of all of Yrgo's diving systems, equipment, and boats.
As an instructor at Yrgo you will work within our safety management system.
You will also work actively with systematic occupational health and safety work and systematic quality work.
Qualifications
Competency Requirements:
We are looking for you who:
• Hold a Diving Leader certificate for B-50 competency.
• Hold a Diving Certificate B-50 and/or IDSA Level 3.
• Have Captain VIII and Engineer VIII and VHF licensing.
• Have strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working in the facility diving industry, both inshore and offshore diving.
• Have a driver's license category B.
Meritorious:
• Experience leading diving activities and diving operations
• Experience in education/teaching
• Pressure chamber operator
• Good computer skills
Personal Qualities:
We place great importance on personal suitability. The work is largely outdoor-based, which means that the prevailing climate forms part of the work environment, so you should appreciate outdoor work year-round.
You should be flexible and have an easy time collaborating both internally and externally, and you will work in a small work group where the collective expertise is used in as broad a way as possible.
The employment is permanent; a 6-month probationary period may apply.
