F 16 is responsible for Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala airport. The squadron is also responsible for monitoring Swedish airspace 24/7, 365 days a year, and leads the Swedish Air Force fighter jets in the air. You will be part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the global situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit 163rd Garrison Battalion consists of the Logistics Company, Garrison Company, and Training Company, which together create the conditions for assigned units to focus on their main mission. The Battalion's role and tasks are developing rapidly to meet the new tasks and challenges that Sweden and the Swedish Armed Forces are facing. Main Responsibilities The instructor role involves planning and conducting training of conscripts as part of a platoon. The position is varied and will be conducted both at the unit and at exercise and shooting ranges. You will develop in your role as an instructor in the Swedish Armed Forces and will have the opportunity to lead training such as basic soldier service, position-specific training, and combat training.
