Your Responsibilities As a flight technology instructor, you have an important role in transferring your knowledge and professional experience to the next generation. You will teach students both theoretically and practically at the gymnasium level as well as within vocational higher education (YH). Teaching is conducted according to current curriculum guidelines (GY25) and EASA standards, with high demands for quality, safety, and structure. Being an instructor today means capturing students' interests and potential, and from there creating engaging and challenging instruction at the appropriate level. You plan, implement, and follow up on instruction, and assess students' knowledge and skills. Mentorship is part of the role and involves building secure and professional relationships with students. You are also responsible for maintaining educational equipment and may conduct specialized training assignments. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues and with strong connections to the aviation industry. The role involves considerable autonomy in planning time and work tasks. There is room to drive development together with the management team to further shape a school that well represents the industry. Your Qualifications You have education in flight technology or another technical background with relevant experience in aviation and strong knowledge of flight technical areas. You have experience working with civil or military aircraft maintenance, and it is an advantage if you hold a Part-66 certificate, MM certificate, or equivalent military certificate. You are motivated by developing students, and we view it very positively if you have a vocational teaching degree or other experience with educational leadership. As a person, you are confident and attentive in collaboration with others and adapt your approach based on the individual or group you are working with. You take responsibility for your assignment through structure and quality awareness, and are accustomed to handling various digital work tools. It is an advantage if you are familiar with regulations and regulatory requirements from a post holder function. To be able to navigate our various operations, you need to have a category B driver's license. What We Offer Edströmska Gymnasium has approximately 450 youth students and 100 adult students. We offer gymnasium and adult education as well as vocational higher education (YH) within aviation. Within our gymnasium operations, we offer education that prepares students for work in the automotive, transport, aircraft mechanic, and construction industries. The operations have close collaboration with industry and business, particularly in Västmanland County, which creates excellent conditions for industry-relevant and current education. In this role, there is opportunity for long-term development and the possibility of pursuing some form of pedagogical degree partly during work hours.
