State Police Riga Regional Office Riga Pardaugava Office Criminal Police Bureau Inspector (operational activities) Profession code – 335513 Main job duties: plan and conduct necessary measures within your competence to prevent and detect criminal offenses in your service area; carry out operational tasks related to detecting criminal offenses within the precinct as stipulated by legal acts; conduct searches for criminals and missing persons within your competence; systematically collect and analyze received operational information; identify and conduct operational measures in crime-prone locations to prevent further criminal offenses. Requirements for candidates: compliance with the requirements set forth in Articles 4 and 7 of the State Officials with Special Service Ranks Service Career Law for officials of the Ministry of Interior institutions and Prison Administration; first-level professional higher education (education fields: law, civil and military protection, business and administration, social and human sciences, computer science); good computer skills (MS Word and MS Excel); state language proficiency level – C1; Category B driver's license. Candidates who have not previously served in Ministry of Interior institutions or Prison Administration must complete a 3-month professional development program at the State Police College "Basics of Police Work for State Police Officials."
