At the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO), you will be part of developing state supervision and licensing decisions – work that contributes to safer and more secure health and social care. We are now seeking inspectors with legal expertise for our Stockholm office. About the role As an inspector, you will investigate and assess the professional practice of licensed healthcare professionals based on applicable regulations. Your main responsibilities as an inspector will include handling cases concerning licensed healthcare professionals. Cases may involve, for example: incompetence in professional practice committing serious crimes in or outside professional practice that may affect public trust in the individual failure to comply with regulations that are essential for patient safety other circumstances that could be considered unsuitable for practicing the profession You will be the lead handler in some cases and a co-handler in others, depending on the scope and nature of the cases. You will work in close collaboration with other inspectors from different professions, as well as with supervising physicians and medical supervisors. We expect you to contribute to multidisciplinary assessments and joint positions. You will make and prepare decisions in cases, and where necessary, prepare notifications to the National Board of Health and Welfare (HSAN). These positions are permanent employment with a six-month probationary period, located in Stockholm. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: a law degree (jur.kand.) at least two years of current and relevant work experience for the role good ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing The role places high demands on objectivity, high integrity, and good judgment and analytical skills in order to make well-founded and legally secure assessments. To succeed in this role, you need good collaboration skills and the ability to contribute your professional perspective in multidisciplinary contexts. You should feel confident in your competence and have the ability to work independently and drive cases forward with clear structure and responsibility for progress. We continuously develop our methods and procedures, which means you need to be able to adapt to new conditions. During recruitment, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
