The main mission of Society is to increase residents' quality of life and opportunity to influence their living conditions. The Environment and Food operations are part of the main mission and consist of two units responsible for licensing and supervision within several areas of legislation.
You will become part of the Food and Licensing Unit with ten colleagues who share knowledge and support each other in everyday work. WORK TASKS
The position is primarily focused on food control, but also includes some supervision in the tobacco area. In the role, you will combine authority execution with advice, case handling, and meetings with people. You contribute to ensuring that food served and sold is safe and that food businesses comply with legal requirements. You also ensure that regulations for tobacco and nicotine products are followed. At the same time, you help businesses understand the requirements and do things right from the start.
In the role, you will, among other things:
• plan and conduct inspection and supervision visits
• investigate complaints, RASFF, received tips and deviations
• handle applications, notifications, and other official matters
• follow up on violations and, if necessary, make official decisions
• provide advice and guidance to businesses so they understand and can comply with legal requirements
• collaborate
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• education in food safety, environmental and health protection, or other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• very good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
• B-class driver's license
It is meritorious if you have experience of authority execution and public control, preferably within the food or tobacco area, as well as if you have worked with the case management systems Ecos or AlkT/OL2.
