RHODSIG performs independent quantity and quality control inspections and specializes in all types of transport and handling of oil products, chemicals, and liquefied gas. Our operations are primarily directed toward companies that manufacture and trade these products, such as oil and chemical companies, refineries, storage companies, and shipping companies. RHODSIG has its head office in Gothenburg with service offices in Lysekil, Stenungsund, Malmö, Norrköping, and Södertälje. Assignments are also carried out at several other ports around Sweden and in Denmark. We are now seeking an inspector on the east coast, primarily based in Norrköping. RHODSIG is the exclusive agent in Sweden and Denmark for SGS SA, Oil Gas & Chemical Services with headquarters in Geneva. SGS is the world's leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company and is globally recognized for representing quality and integrity. Job Description: In the role of cargo inspector, you will perform inspections and controls of loading and unloading of petroleum, chemicals, and gas products. This is carried out primarily onboard vessels, oil terminals, and refineries. Main responsibilities include: Inspect vessels/terminal tanks to ensure they are acceptable and approved for the intended cargo. Measure and calculate loaded or unloaded quantities. Monitor, document, and report completed assignments. Sampling and damage inspection Responsible for oil depots during loading and unloading of tanker vessels You will work closely with our customers, so it is important that you can build good relationships and trust in the work we perform. Who Are You? Applicants should have education/experience directed toward the maritime industry and/or operations and maintenance or similar. We would prefer that you have experience working onboard tanker vessels, oil terminals, or refineries. To thrive in this role, you need great flexibility, creativity, initiative, and experience making independent decisions. You should have a good sense of numbers and the ability to think logically with good structure in your work. It is important that you express yourself well in speech and writing in both Swedish and English. A class B driver's license is required. As a person, you need to be service-oriented and communicative, as you will encounter many different situations and people. We would prefer that you live in or near Norrköping.
