They handle everything from clean water from the tap to safe sewage solutions and smart waste management for residents in Ludvika and Smedjebacken. As an important community builder, they simply make life a little easier, cleaner, and significantly more sustainable. Approximately 90 employees work with distribution networks, drinking water production, wastewater treatment, waste collection, and operation of recycling centers and stations. The company is jointly owned by the two municipalities, and the management office and customer service are located in Smedjebacken. Your Responsibilities WBAB is now seeking a Collections Manager for recycling – a present, reliable, and engaged leader who wants to take responsibility for an important and operational part of the business. As head of Collections, you will be a central part of the Recycling business area and will be responsible for leading, developing, and coordinating work within the unit. Here you'll work with drivers, equipment operators, and administrative staff, and together you'll ensure a socially important service with a focus on environment, quality, and sustainability. You'll be a natural presence in daily operations and collaborate closely with the technician, transport planning, and recycling operations to create an efficient whole. In this role, you're responsible for leading and developing the operations in line with WBAB's goals and strategies. This includes working on continuous improvements, ensuring that routines and policies are followed, and contributing to procurements and projects related to the area. You have budget, personnel, and operational responsibility and are part of the management team for the Recycling business area. Together with your colleagues, you drive a unit where sustainability, service, and development are central. Location: Björnhyttans waste facility. Your Profile We're looking for a manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment where quick decisions are important and contact with employees is central. You need to communicate clearly and create structure in an operational context. As a person, you are attentive and solution-oriented. You have a natural ability to build good relationships and create engagement in your team. Your leadership is characterized by clarity, openness, and professionalism, in line with WBAB's values: honest, open, curious, inclusive, and professional. We seek someone with documented experience in leadership and personnel responsibility. We'd like you to have post-secondary education in environment or technology, or work experience considered equivalent. A background in transport or logistics is a merit but not decisive – what matters most is your personality and leadership ability.
