Region Skåne is undergoing development and change where clear, coordinated, and trust-building communication is crucial. As a content manager, you will have a key role in developing how we plan, prioritize, and communicate our mission and direction, both to employees and residents.
The Corporate Communications Office's mission is to contribute to strengthening Region Skåne's brand and to the realization of operational goals, political decisions, and vision through professional communication efforts. An important part of this is developing cohesive content work that creates value, builds trust, and provides good experiences across our internal and external channels.
The position is located within the Press and Social Media Unit in the Corporate Communications Office. The unit works across the region with Region Skåne's departments and is responsible for press services, news planning, content production for internal and external channels, social media, and crisis and preparedness communication. Here you work in close collaboration with colleagues in communications and operations as well as management functions. The position is based in Malmö.

WORK TASKS
As a content manager, you are responsible for maintaining editorial direction. You lead the work with long-term content strategy and ensure that all content—from campaigns and websites to social media—coheres in a unified image. You are responsible for overall content planning, make trade-offs, and balance messaging to strengthen Region Skåne's image.
You will, among other things:
• Develop and drive content strategy internally and externally
• be responsible for long-term editorial planning across all channels
• lead internal news work together with departmental editors
• strengthen and develop content and strategic messaging in management communication
• ensure that content supports operational goals and strategies
• develop tone of voice, storytelling, and narratives
• ensure that content has impact
• develop working methods using AI and work systematically data-driven with insights and analysis
• work closely with the press chief, news coordinator, communicators, concept and channel managers, and the intranet team.
Your assignment also includes content responsibility for the intranet; you have overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, and developing the overall content plan. The role combines strategic content responsibility with operational editorial leadership, with a focus on ensuring that the right information reaches the right audience at the right time with high quality.
You also work with monitoring and analysis of content effectiveness to continuously improve communication. The role includes actively developing working methods by exploring and using AI support and digital tools in editorial processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in qualified communication work in a complex organization or with great diversity of perspectives, and experience working closely with management level. You have relevant higher education/university education in communication, media, or other education that the employer deems relevant. Additionally, you have very good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
To succeed in this role, we see that you have a good understanding of complex organizational contexts. You possess good communicative ability and can build trust at different levels in the organization. You are accustomed to driving work independently while also thriving in close collaboration with others.
It is important that you have excellent ability to formulate messages and adapt communication to different audiences and situations. You are unpretentious, receptive, and confident in advisory roles. You have the ability to create structure and momentum even in complex processes and enjoy working in an environment where the pace is periodically high and where conditions can change quickly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We plan to hold interviews during week 36, on September 2 and 3.
