The Administrative Department is seeking a Procurement Strategist for the Procurement Unit. We are looking for a development-oriented professional who wants to help us make good business deals for Region Gotland! The Procurement Unit is responsible for strategic procurement work, conducting procurements, and coordinating contract management with one of Sweden's broadest procurement portfolios in the public sector. Since we work with strategic procurement and procurements for both municipal and regional tasks as well as regional development, we have a highly diversified operation. We therefore offer great opportunities and challenges for our employees to contribute their experience. The unit has eleven employees, including two procurement strategists, and we are now seeking another committed procurement strategist who wants to help us further develop Region Gotland's procurement work. Your Responsibilities We are looking for you to contribute to good business deals and further develop Region Gotland's strategic procurement work. You place great value on professional and courteous treatment for everyone, perform high-quality work, and recognize the importance of continuous development with a solution-oriented perspective. You participate in developing governance and organization for procurement, ensure value-creating processes and procedures, and identify and drive development within the procurement area. You do this both regarding working methods and system support to ensure appropriate internal governance and control as well as sustainable business practices. For example, procurement strategists work on developing Region Gotland's procurement related to welfare fraud prevention, supply security, sustainability, and contract management development. An important part of the procurement strategists' work to make good business deals and ensure efficient procurement at Region Gotland is maintaining dialogue with the business community and other external stakeholders. You also work with many parties at Region Gotland such as the procurement unit, procurement coordinators for all departments, and business developers. The work includes providing certain advice and delivering procurement training for various target groups. You should be able to independently plan, implement, and follow up on development work. At the same time, an important success factor in the work is having many contacts and good collaborations both externally and internally. You actively participate in developing Region Gotland's procurement and have a great opportunity to influence the content of your work. Who Are You? We are looking for a procurement strategist with a university or college degree in, for example, economics or law, or alternatively education or work experience that Region Gotland considers equivalent to the requirements of the position. You have experience with development and change work within procurement in the EU. It is meriting if you have experience working with procurement and procurements as well as contracts within the European public sector. It is also meriting if you have experience with work on welfare fraud prevention, supply security, and sustainability, primarily from a procurement perspective. Experience with developing processes, program or project management, planning and follow-up, and contract management development is also valuable. Since the work involves many contacts, it is important that you are operations-oriented and skilled at communicating with different target groups. You collaborate and build good relationships, inspire confidence, and have high integrity. You value providing good service and support. It is important that you are structured and thorough. You are results- and solution-oriented and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. You have experience working with various IT systems as well as digital procurement systems.
