About the Job Job Responsibilities The Purchasing Manager's mission is to ensure, challenge and develop procurement processes for the company. The assignment includes a strong focus on purchased materials, systems and cash flow with regard to · Customer requirements · Financial results · Delivery reliability · Capital commitment · Revenue · Costs · Bottleneck utilization · Ensuring balance sheet security for the company The assignment includes clear commercial as well as operational responsibility for allocated segments/purchasing categories in accordance with the company's purchasing policy and purchasing strategy. The Purchasing Manager reports to the CEO and is a member of Åkers Sweden AB's management team. Who Are You? We are looking for someone with an academic degree in economics/engineering or equivalent, or alternatively several years of experience as a Purchasing Manager or equivalent leadership role. You have several years of commercial experience and experience in cross-functional work and project management. It is a requirement that you have good verbal and written skills in Swedish as you will be communicating with several functions within the company, as well as good knowledge of English in both spoken and written form. To thrive in this role, we see that you have a burning interest in business, both commercially and economically. You have the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and with suppliers. Furthermore, you have the ability to drive, lead and support change initiatives. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities such as being a leader by example, having the ability to build strong business relationships, having social and analytical skills, high energy levels, and being thorough and well-organized.
