About the role
This is a key position where you are responsible for the entire procurement chain – from forecasting and supplier dialogue to inventory optimization and strategic negotiations. You have operational and strategic responsibility for ensuring an efficient and sustainable supply chain. You work closely with the CEO, product development, sales, and international suppliers and are a natural part of the management team. The role also includes personnel responsibility for three warehouse employees. Business travel may occur a few times per year, primarily within Europe and Asia.
Your main areas of responsibility
• Ensure product availability and maintain optimal inventory based on sales forecasts and demand.
• Drive procurement work with focus on quality, delivery reliability, and total cost.
• Manage supplier contracts, negotiations, and development of long-term supplier relationships.
• Plan forecasts, orders, and delivery monitoring together with international production partners.
• Optimize inventory management, inventory turnover, and capital allocation.
• Ensure and further develop the company's quality work and ISO processes.
• Have personnel responsibility for our three warehouse employees.
• Actively participate in product meetings and contribute business perspectives on assortment, procurement, and supplier development.
• Contribute to Waterproof's continued development as a member of the management team.
Who are you?
We believe you have several years of experience in qualified procurement in an international environment, preferably within textiles, garment manufacturing, or other product-related manufacturing industries. You are experienced with supplier negotiations, forecasting, and inventory management, and feel comfortable communicating with international suppliers. Experience in sustainability work or ISO certification is a merit. We also see that you are comfortable working in business systems, preferably Business Central.
As a person, you are structured, business-minded, and communicative. You are experienced in creating order in complex flows, following up on details, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. At the same time, you have a natural drive and enjoy developing both work methods and collaborations. You are a skilled negotiator who builds long-term relationships, has a holistic perspective on business, and thrive in a role where you can combine strategic questions with operational responsibility. Since the role involves many contact points, you communicate clearly and see the value of close collaboration with both colleagues and suppliers.
