About the Role:
As a procurement specialist, you will work in operationally focused roles where you contribute to ensuring the right quality, cost, delivery, and long-term supplier relationships. Depending on your background and interests, the role may include work in operational procurement, strategic procurement, technical procurement, project procurement, category procurement, or supplier management.
You will often work closely with colleagues in areas such as production, design, engineering, quality, logistics, finance, and project management. The role may encompass the entire or parts of the procurement process, from needs analysis, supplier selection, and negotiation to ordering, follow-up, supplier development, and improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Drive and manage procurement processes related to materials, components, services, or indirect procurement
Work with supplier contacts, requests for quotations, price comparisons, and negotiations
Ensure deliveries according to requirements for quality, cost, and delivery accuracy
Follow up on orders, agreements, lead times, and supplier performance
Work in IFS with procurement orders, supplier data, follow-up, and reporting
Contribute to development of the supplier base, category strategies, and procurement processes
Collaborate closely with internal functions such as engineering, production, quality, logistics, and finance
Work with risk management, improvement initiatives, and cost optimization
Prepare documentation, reports, and analyses related to procurement and supply chain
What We're Looking For:
Postsecondary education in procurement, supply chain, logistics, finance, engineering, or similar
Approximately 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably from industrial, tech, production, or manufacturing companies
Experience working in business systems, with experience in IFS being particularly valued
Good understanding of procurement processes, business acumen, and supplier follow-up
Experienced in working systematically with orders, agreements, supplier contacts, and follow-up
Good skills in Excel or other digital tools
Good proficiency in both Swedish and English as both languages are used in internal and external contacts
Not necessary, but advantageous if you have:
IFS as a business system
Operational procurement, strategic procurement, technical procurement, or project procurement
Supplier negotiations, contract management, or category management
Work with supplier development, follow-up, or supplier management
Procurement within industry, tech, production, or manufacturing companies
Analysis, reporting, cost tracking, or spend analysis
Logistics, material planning, or production-related processes
Work in international supply chains or global procurement organizations
About the Position:
This is a consulting assignment, which means you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from the client and our side is that after 6–12 months you will become directly employed by the client.
