Do you want to work with technology that makes a real difference? Now you have the opportunity to become part of an organization that develops and secures advanced communication solutions for ground forces. Here you will create robust and reliable radio systems that enable critical communication in operational environments.
We are looking for you to work as an engineer for radio and communication systems with a combination of laboratory work and field operations.
About the role
We are now seeking several engineers for radio and communication systems who want to be part of building a new business area focused on tactical communication and system integration.
In this role, you will work closely with end users to ensure that radio and communication systems function in real environments – where availability, robustness, and secure information transfer are critical. You will be part of a team of approximately 15 people who together are responsible for implementing, verifying, and deploying solutions that connect different systems and platforms.
You will work both in a lab environment and in the field with customers, where the systems are used in exercises and operational activities.
Examples of work tasks:
Installation, configuration, and deployment of radio and communication systems
Integration of radio systems with networks and command support systems
Troubleshooting in complex communication environments (radio, network, transmission)
Testing and verification of communication solutions in lab and field environments
Establishment of reference environments for system validation
Configuration and customization of systems in Windows and Linux environments
Automation of configurations via scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Technical support to customers during exercises and operational operations
Documentation and feedback to the development organization
Your profile
To succeed in this role, we believe you are a self-driven problem solver who thrives in an environment where not all answers are readily available. You enjoy tackling complex challenges and drive your work forward in a structured and methodical way. You have previously worked in technically demanding environments and remain calm even when conditions change or the pace increases. You thrive in a role where you get to work with and understand the entire system and manage the process from start to finish. Since you work closely with both colleagues and customers, you are also a communicative team player. You can adapt your communication to your audience and build trust through collaboration and professionalism.
Finally, you are driven by curiosity and a desire to understand how systems work – both technically and in real-world use.
Requirements for the position:
Several years of work experience in one or more areas:
Networking (prior knowledge of system architecture, routing, transmission, data centers, building data networks)
Programming, experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Bat, PowerShell), applied configurations that work in Windows/Linux environments
Radio and communication systems
Post-secondary technical degree (college, university, vocational school, military) in Data Technology/Networking/Technical Physics/Equivalent
Swedish and English in speech and writing
Ability to travel on business occasionally
Type B driver's license
The assignment is classified at a security level. Prior to employment, you must undergo a security clearance and be approved according to applicable security regulations. This may require certain citizenship.
Meriting factors for the position:
Technical background from the Swedish Armed Forces (Leadership role/Ground Forces School/Technician)
Knowledge of command support systems for the defense industry
What we offer you
Here you are offered a developmental position in a growing team whose purpose is to streamline and digitalize your end customer's work. You will fill a key competence within a specific technical area, and together you will contribute to improving the country's defense capabilities. You are also offered security and long-term employment, opportunities for competence development and further training, and a welcoming and inclusive work environment!
