As an infrastructure planner, you will become an important link between the planning and project operations at the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket). In this role, you will use your analytical skills to assess needs and gaps, prioritize measures in the railway system, and drive issues forward through dialogue with both internal and external stakeholders. A varied assignment where your assessments contribute to concrete improvements in Sweden's railway. Work Tasks In your role as infrastructure planner, you will work closely and maintain frequent dialogue with internal project managers, strategists, and societal planners, as well as with external parties such as municipalities and regions. Together, you will contribute to many important deliverables within Planning in the Western Region. Some of your work tasks will include translating assignments in national and regional plans into internal orders collecting, analyzing, and describing needs and gaps in the infrastructure commissioning and participating in investigations to identify and evaluate possible solutions following projects from internal order through design and production developing co-financing agreements with external parties participating in budget allocation work, forecasts, and financial follow-up coordinating, preparing, and in part deciding on incoming deviations collaborating internally at Trafikverket on matters concerning joint planning, strategic planning, and project execution collaborating with regions, municipalities, and authorities on planning, prioritization, and financing matters coordinating documentation for Masterplan and construction start reporting contributing to responses to customer inquiries from the public We are located in different cities, which means that much of our work takes place digitally. In your role as infrastructure planner, you have significant responsibility and work with many issues in parallel. To succeed, you need to be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize and create momentum even when circumstances change. You find it easy to build good relationships and communicate clearly and attentively. You can adapt your communication style based on the recipient and situation, and you enjoy collaborating with people with different competencies and perspectives. Furthermore, you are engaged, confident, and courageous in your interactions with others, and you are not afraid to drive issues forward while also being willing to ask for help when needed. The role also requires that you have strong analytical problem-solving skills and can see the bigger picture and find solutions that work in practice. We are looking for someone who has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits/120 points in infrastructure, civil engineering, or equivalent, or alternatively other education combined with experience that we collectively consider comparable several years of current and relevant experience in planning and/or construction of roads or railways strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing good computer skills, including the Office suite, and an ability to quickly learn new systems It is meritorious if you have relevant experience in communication and collaboration with external parties, such as authorities, municipalities, and the public experience in budget and forecast work experience in negotiation and contract drafting in a similar professional role knowledge of and understanding for how the railway system is structured knowledge of and understanding for Trafikverket's mandate in relation to other stakeholders' operations and responsibilities within the infrastructure sector We Welcome Your Application!
