We are now seeking an Infrastructure Platform Engineer at FMTIS who wants to combine technical expertise with responsibility for the development, management, and lifecycle management of business-critical IT systems. About the Role You will be an important part of the team responsible for the Swedish Armed Forces' virtualization and server platforms. The work includes: VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter Windows Server and Active Directory Linux-based server platforms Operation and management of server hardware Operating system hardening Automation and scripting with Red Hat Ansible IT security work Networking and firewalls Operation of complex IT environments with high security requirements Beyond platform work, you will: Perform operational system administration Contribute to the development and management of container platforms and modern platform services as the business evolves Participate in development and decommissioning of IT systems Serve as third-level technical support to the operations organization Ensure that systems and equipment are maintained according to established plans Test and verify new equipment before deployment Manage certificates and licenses according to current procedures Participate in technical reviews and change management Assist in training users and operators Perform configuration changes and functional modifications within the scope of system management We are looking for you who have Post-secondary education in IT, computer science, systems science, or network technology or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. Experience with: VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter Windows Server Active Directory Linux Operation and management of server platforms Meritorious: Operating system hardening Red Hat Ansible PowerShell, Bash, or Python Server hardware Container platforms and container management, such as Docker or Kubernetes IT security Networking and firewalls Business-critical or security-classified environments We Offer Work in some of Sweden's most security-critical IT environments Development within automation and cybersecurity Opportunity to influence and further develop platforms and systems An assignment that contributes to Sweden's security Development opportunities toward Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer Other Information The position is classified and requires Swedish citizenship.
