Security and Preparedness Department Region Uppsala's Management Office is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. Our Operations Region Uppsala is in the midst of a transformation where our various security areas are progressively developed in line with environmental monitoring and experience. Information security is one of Region Uppsala's security areas that is constantly relevant. Information security work needs to continue to develop to help Region Uppsala stay at the forefront of the field. Your Assignment To continue developing systematic information security work, Region Uppsala needs to revise and strategically build upon the security work currently being conducted, to meet new technology, requirements, and risks from a changing society. An important task for the information security strategist is to, based on experience from previous work, legislation, recommendations and new findings, strategic direction, and current environmental conditions, contribute to Region Uppsala's work and development of systematic and risk-based information security work. As a strategist, you analyze statistics and reports, prepare responses to government agencies, write decision-making documents for senior management and political leadership. The assignment involves collaboration with internal and external actors, strategically contributing to the development of guidelines and other support to Region Uppsala's various administrations within the field of information security. As part of the role, you will also provide operational support to administrations within Region Uppsala, collaborate with government agencies, and work closely with other information security functions at Region Uppsala's Management Office. In the coordinator role, tasks include supporting administrations' operations in conducting information classifications, risk analyses, formulating relevant procurement requirements, supporting the implementation of security measures, and conducting training. The position is placed in the Security and Preparedness Department, Business Protection Unit, at Region Uppsala's Management Office. The unit is responsible for, among other things, information security, GDPR/data protection, physical security, personal security, and fire safety. Your Qualifications You have relevant university education, or alternatively other education and work experience that we consider equivalent. You have experience and have worked with systematic information security work. You have good analytical ability and competence in systematic work. The assignment includes being able to conduct environmental analysis, understand changes in the surrounding society and their significance for the assignment and for the organization, as well as prepare decision-making documents. To perform the assignment, you need to have very strong ability to collaborate and value cooperation both within the unit/department, the region, and with external actors. Some of our positions are security-classified and the employee must undergo a security vetting interview and register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). You may also be placed in wartime deployment with Region Uppsala. Swedish citizenship is required for the position. We place high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness and place great emphasis on personal suitability. The position is a full-time temporary assignment from January 12, 2027 to August 13, 2027. The position may be placed in a staff position for handling special events, Regional Crisis and War Management (RKL).
