Vattenfall Hydropower is now seeking a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) for Luleå, Umeå, or Solna!
You will join our security department as an information security officer, a staff function within the Nordic hydropower organization. We work broadly with issues related to security and preparedness, from physical protection of critical infrastructure and security protection analysis, to analysis of security incidents, information security, and total defense. Our mission is crucial to ensure safe and robust electricity supply across the Nordic region.
As an information security officer, you will have a central role in our work. Among other things, you will interpret and apply the Security Protection Act as well as regulations such as the NIS2 and CER directives, support the business in systematic information security work, particularly in critical areas such as dam safety.
As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to support development projects and contribute to ensuring that our procedures and processes are current, effective, and well-anchored in the business.
In the BISO role, you will have broad responsibility for information and cybersecurity. Your main work tasks include:
Governance based on legislation and other requirements within information and cybersecurity (IT/OT)
Strategic development of our work in information and cybersecurity, including analysis, planning, implementation, and follow-up of goals
Ensuring that information and cybersecurity are handled in a relevant, realistic, and compliant manner
Identify, interpret, and follow up on requirements, legislation, and security measures related to information and cybersecurity
Promote awareness, support communication and training
Advisory support and active follow-up of issues/incidents related to information and cybersecurity
Coordination, follow-up, and evaluation of the organization's "second line activities" within information and cybersecurity
Coordinate activities with coordinators on IT and OT matters
Contribute to Security Risk Assessment (SRA) within information and cybersecurity and to the annual plan for security and resilience
Represent Vattenfall Hydropower at business area and corporate levels, for example in the Generation Information and Cyber Security Forum.
Requirements
We're looking for someone with solid experience in information security who thrives in a role where you can combine analysis, collaboration, and development. You are confident in your expertise and feel comfortable navigating complex environments where many perspectives meet.
We would like you to have:
Post-secondary education in information security or equivalent practical experience in the field
Several years of experience in information security, including developing and driving systematic security work and contributing to business development
Good knowledge of the Security Protection Act is a requirement
Experience working with analyses, investigations, and controls within the security field
Experience handling security-classified information
Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
B-class driver's license (travel occurs in the position).
As a person, you are thorough, collaboration-oriented, and have a genuine interest in creating structure and understanding in complex matters. You contribute to dialogue, build trust, and drive work forward together with others at different organizational levels in the business.
