ESB is a steering and supportive function that works within several different areas such as information security, physical security, security protection, and total defense. It can be said that ESB has a strong focus on supporting management, managers, and employees with strategies, guidelines, procedures, training, and advice. The unit consists of 15 people where you will work together with our Chief Information Security Officer and other resources supporting information security at the Swedish Maritime Administration. To help you get into the role and learn about the operation, we offer a comprehensive introduction program that is planned based on your specific background. Information security is also an area in constant development, so we view positively if you have an interest and willingness for further education in the field. The Swedish Maritime Administration's information security work is highly prioritized and we are strengthening our central information security function. As an authority with requirements under the Cyber Security Act and as an operator with security-sensitive activities (requirements for security protection), our information security work becomes both challenging and interesting. Your experience and expertise will therefore be important for the continued work of strengthening the Swedish Maritime Administration's information security. Responsibilities In your work you will: • Develop and support the Swedish Maritime Administration's information security work. • Together with the Chief Information Security Officer and others within the function, coordinate and strengthen information security work, including our information security management system. • Guide and support the Swedish Maritime Administration's departments and units with analyses, propose security measures, and plan and follow up on measures within the field. The work also includes leading risk assessments and activities for information classification of data and follow-up measures. • Identify, initiate, and actively participate in initiatives to improve information security. • Develop, create, and maintain governing and supporting documents within information security. • Provide advice and support to the organization on information security matters. • Act as support and requirement setter toward operations, IT organization, and external suppliers within the information security field. • Work with training and other information activities to increase understanding and knowledge of information security. Your work will be directed by the Chief Information Security Officer and carried out otherwise anchored and in close collaboration with operations, the IT organization, and relevant functions. Who are you? We are looking for someone who… • Has knowledge and professional experience within information security, including from the ISO 2700x series. • Is familiar with the laws, regulations, and rules governing information security work within public operations. • Has academic education related to information security or other relevant education in this context. • Has good general IT knowledge and an interest in digitalization issues. • Has the ability to express yourself fluently in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is meritorious if you can demonstrate relevant certifications within information security. It is also meritorious to have experience with information security audits or experience in further developing an information security management system in a government agency or other public organization. You are an analytical, quality-conscious person with great drive who thrives in an environment with high demands and sometimes high pace. You have a strong ability to prioritize applying information security in practice in an organization undergoing major change. This recruitment concerns a permanent position that is expected to be filled as soon as possible. The Swedish Maritime Administration may apply a six-month probationary period.
