The Municipal Management Office has overall responsibility for managing and coordinating the municipality's operations. Within the administration there are several supporting and governing functions, including HR, communications, finance and IT.
The Security Department is a central part of this work. It currently consists of a Chief Security Officer/Security Protection Chief, two Preparedness and Security Strategists and a Safety Coordinator. The department needs to be complemented with knowledge/experience in information security, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Cybersecurity Act (NIS2).

JOB DUTIES
The role involves overall responsibility for the municipality's work with information security including data protection (GDPR) and cybersecurity (NIS2). The assignment includes both strategic and operational work to ensure coordinated information security work throughout the municipality.
Strategic work:
• Information security and overall planning
• Municipality-wide information security responsibility
• Implementation and management of NIS2 requirements
• Overall risk management and continuity planning
Operational and coordinating work:
• Information classification according to KLASSA
• Handling of PUB agreements
• Practical information security, NIS2 and GDPR support to operations
• Coordination of incident reporting to responsible authorities
• Operational data protection coordination
• Security requirements and risk assessment in procurement and projects
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has relevant academic education or other knowledge that the employer considers equivalent. You have good ability to communicate knowledge in Swedish both orally and in writing.
A B driving license is required for this position.
As a person you work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you have started and meet deadlines. You adapt and find solutions through a pragmatic focus on the common goal. You combine strategic and long-term thinking with strong analytical skills that support the operation's development.
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience from work in a politically governed organization, public sector
• Experience working with information security and/or GDPR and/or NIS2
• Experience with management systems/standards, for example ISO 27000
• Education in information security and/or GDPR and/or NIS2 and/or law and/or legal science
The position requires a criminal record extract as well as Swedish citizenship and before a decision is made about employment a background check will be conducted. You will be part of the municipality's crisis management organization.
