Description Would you like to help ensure that our water and wastewater operations have correct, accessible, and quality-assured electronic documentation? We are now seeking a careful and engaged information manager who wants to take responsibility for developing and managing our documentation handling within the electrical field. The water and wastewater department ensures that residents of Karlstad have clean tap water and a reliable sewage system every day – an important societal mission that is constantly evolving. The position is placed in the Technical Water and Wastewater unit, and together with 16 engaged colleagues, we are responsible for electrical systems, automation, and maintenance of the municipality's drinking water and wastewater facilities. We are at the technical forefront and have a strong team where knowledge sharing, development, and work satisfaction are at the center. Effective January 1, 2027, the water and wastewater operations will become part of Karlstad Region Water, which presents exciting opportunities to contribute to the development of future working methods and information management within a larger water and wastewater organization. Duties As an information manager, you will be a key person in creating and maintaining structure, order, and quality in our technical documentation within electrical and automation systems. Your main responsibilities are: Reception, quality assurance, and management of technical documentation Coordination of relational documents and document deliveries Archiving and distribution of documents Development and improvement of procedures, working methods, and guidelines Development of information structures and document management Support to operations on matters relating to technical documentation and facility information You will work closely with our electrical engineers, electrical and instrumentation technicians, and project managers. You will also collaborate with the department's other information managers to jointly ensure that our facility information is correct, relevant, secure, and accessible. The role involves significant personal responsibility and suits you if you thrive working independently, taking initiative, and developing your area of responsibility over the long term. Qualifications We are looking for someone with at least a technical upper secondary education or vocational education, preferably with a focus on electrical systems and automation, and who has professional experience within the field. You have good computer skills and experience working in a structured manner with technical information, documentation, or facility data. We would like to see that you are experienced in interpreting technical drawings and documentation. Experience from the electrical and automation field is highly desirable. If you have experience reading electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, or other technical documentation within the field, that is a particular advantage. It is also desirable if you have worked with CAD environments, document management, information management, or document management systems. Experience with Ides Master Concept, HxGN EAM, or similar systems is also desirable. As a person, you are organized, careful, and self-directed. You enjoy creating order, taking initiative, and driving improvements over time. To succeed in the role, you need to be comfortable collaborating with others while also being comfortable independently taking responsibility for and developing your area. Driver's license (Category B) is required. Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the recruitment period.
