At the Swedish Migration Agency, you'll help build the order that makes complex operations clearer, more cohesive, and better prepared for the future. We're now seeking information architects who want to take a key role in developing our information architecture and creating conditions for more efficient, legally secure, and sustainable long-term information flow. With us, you'll work at the intersection of operations, technology, and governance. You'll be part of an environment where information architecture is critical to meeting both legal requirements and operational needs—in an organization operating in a changing external environment where digitalization is central to development. The Digitalization and Development Division's mission is to drive the development of the Swedish Migration Agency's processes and capabilities through innovation and digitalization. The division works to increase efficiency and quality in operations through coordinated process management and organizational development, with and without IT components. The division also manages the agency's IT operations and infrastructure. About the Role As an information architect with us, you'll have an important role in establishing and further developing the Swedish Migration Agency's overarching information architecture. You'll work both strategically and operatively to develop, create, and maintain the models needed to establish and support the target architecture. You'll contribute to information being viewed as a strategic asset and structured in a way that strengthens both operations and the agency's legal responsibility. Examples of work tasks: capture and coordinate needs for mapping information volumes across different operational areas and development initiatives, develop and maintain information models for current and future states that guide development toward the decided target architecture, take long-term responsibility for ensuring the Swedish Migration Agency's central information architecture and information models are developed and maintained according to applicable standards, ensure that information models are used in organizational development and provide support to development initiatives in practical application, educate and guide roles in development work who need to understand and use the information models, conduct investigations and produce analytical decision-making materials, collaborate within the architecture function and with other architectural roles to ensure a cohesive architecture. The position is located in the Strategy and Information Governance Section and is an important part of the agency's virtual architecture function. The function is led by two chief architects and comprises several different architectural roles. The role involves many points of contact, both within the Division, with other departments, and with external partners. Who Are You? We're looking for someone driven by understanding, analyzing, and structuring large and complex information volumes. You have strong analytical ability and see the big picture without losing sight of details in information structures. You're collaboration-oriented and have a natural ability to lead and coordinate work. At the same time, you're pedagogical and communicative, with the ability to explain complex relationships to different audiences, both verbally and in writing. You're unpretentious, create engagement around you, and contribute to participation and progress in operations. As a civil servant, high standards are placed on judgment and security and confidentiality awareness. We place great importance on your personal qualities and your suitability for the position. We're looking for someone with: relevant university or college education, at least 120 credits, in areas such as data/computer science, informatics, engineering, or other education combined with relevant work experience, several years of experience working with information and/or organizational architecture, documented experience with information, concept, and/or data modeling, such as ArchiMate, UML, IRM, or similar, experience working with EA tools, such as Sparx EA, Aris Connect, or similar, good understanding of requirements for information management from legal, operational, and digitalization perspectives, good communication skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It's a merit if you have: certification as an information architect or business architect, experience establishing target architecture in large and complex organizations, experience with architectural frameworks, such as TOGAF.
